Après deux morceaux magnifiques du dernier album de killswitch , je me permet de poster leur présentation.

Killswitch engage est un groupe de metalcore américain, originaire du Massachusetts, formé en 1999. Leur musique contient également des influences Death metal mélodique. Les membres de Killswitch Engage ont Quatre albums à leur actif :

- Killswitch Engage (2000)
- Alive or just breathing (2002)
- The End of Heartache (2004)
- As Daylight Dies (2006)

Alors Howard , c'est mon coup de coeur , littéralement. Ce mec à une voix ... énorme !

Howard Jones réside dans la Nouvelle Angleterre, lieu d'origine de ses deux groupes. Son premier succès a été dans le Connecticut avec le groupe Blood Has Been Shed.

Après la libération de la Novella de Uriel, le groupe part en tournée, mais Jones a finalement été approché pour un projet de plus grande envergure. Howard Jones a remplacé le chanteur de Killswitch Engage, Jesse Leach, en juillet 2002, peu après la sortie de Alive or Just Breathing, le premier album.

Entre-temps, Blood Has Been Shed a sorti leur troisième album, Spirales en 2003. Analyses et critiques ont été mitigées, certains disaient que l'album était un peu écarté de la musique trouvée sur I Dwell and Novella , tandis que les fans a trouvé le groupe le plus ... musical.

La première fois que les fans entendirent Jones avec Killswitch Engage , c'était sur un réenregistrement de la chanson "Fixation son the darkness" sur Alive or Just Breathing. Plus tard, il sera entendu sur la chanson "When Darkness Falls", qui a d'abord été publié sur la bande sonore du film Freddy vs Jason. Enfin, Killswitch Engage sort son premier album avec Jones , le nouveau chanteur, ainsi que le batteur de Blood Has Been Shed : Justin Foley.

The end of Heartache se fraye un chemin avec deux succès , "Rose of Sharyn" et " The end of Heartache ". Les différences entre l'enregistrement initial et le remixé , sont dûes au fait que la chanson est chantée dans un style de chant traditionnel , plutôt que d'utiliser le cri original qui apparaît sur l'album, et plusieurs parties de la chanson ont été raccourcies pour une version plus dynamique.

En novembre 2006, Killswitch Engage sort leur quatrième album (et le deuxième avec Howard Jones) intitulé As Daylight Dies. L'album a engendré les singles "My Curse" et "The arms of Sorrow", et il a été cité par le groupe à travers de nombreuses interviews que l'album rappelle les influences de groupes tels que Pantera et Machine Head.

Malgré son rôle de chanteur dans le groupe Killswitch Engage, Jones reste toujours le chanteur de Blood Has Been Shed.
